Nashville Office Expands...Again
IEC Office Nears Completion

Chattanooga, Tennessee (September 5, 2007) - International Equipment Company, the regions total solution provider for fire alarm, fire suppression, security, time management systems, and telecommunications announced their new Nashville office nears completion. Additional space is also being constructed to house the tremendous growth being experienced in the Middle Tennessee market.

The initial building design called for a 4000-square-foot footprint to house operations. However, during the construction process it was realized that additional office space would be needed immediately. Therefore, a 2000-square-foot addition was added, bringing the building size to a 6000-square-foot structure. IEC Managing Partner Chris Mathews states the company has outgrown its newly designed facility prior to completion. “When we designed the building we said it would be sufficient for several years before additional expansion would be needed,” Mathews said. “That has changed as we have doubled our staff in the past six months.”

IEC has recently added a Telecommunication Group to its line of products and services. The need for an in-house CAD draftsman has also fueled the construction of additional space. “We have utilized our CAD staff in the Chattanooga Office for all company-wide design and engineering,” stated Mathews. “This was the next logical step to handle the additional workload in Nashville.”

The new building is expected to be complete in late November and will give the company room to grow. The expansion includes increased space for meeting rooms, conference rooms, employee work stations, and a product demonstration room.
